The Apollo A7700QT AtomiZer™ Black Edition is a professional HVLP turbine spray gun package designed for finishers who need precision, flexibility, and high-quality atomization from one spray gun system. Built with Apollo’s TrueHVLP™ technology, the A7700 is engineered to deliver smooth, controlled finishes with reduced overspray and excellent transfer efficiency.
This non-bleed HVLP spray gun can be used with compatible turbine systems or adapted for use with an air compressor rated at 3 HP with a 20-gallon / 75-liter tank or larger. Its versatile design supports multiple cup and fluid feed configurations, making it a strong option for wood finishing, cabinetry, millwork, automotive coatings, production finishing, and other professional spray applications.

Air Cap and Nozzle Flexibility
The Apollo A7700 uses a quick-change, 3-turn color-coded air cap system, allowing users to quickly change setups based on coating type, finish requirement, and spray application.
Standard Air Caps
• Black CC: 0.5 mm
• Green A: 0.8 mm
• Gold B: 1.0 mm to 1.5 mm
• Blue C: 1.8 mm to 2.0 mm
• Silver D: 2.5 mm
High Solids Air Caps
• Gold B-HS: 0.8 mm
• Blue C-HS: 1.8 mm to 2.0 mm
• Silver D-HS: 2.5 mm
Available nozzle and needle sizes include 0.5 mm, 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.3 mm, 1.5 mm, 1.8 mm, 2.0 mm, and 2.5 mm. The standard installed setup is a 1.0 mm nozzle set with the B air cap.
Automotive coating setups commonly use the 0.8 mm nozzle set with B-HS air cap or the 1.0 mm nozzle set with B-HS air cap.
Fluid Feed Options
The A7700 spray gun is designed to support multiple cup and remote feed configurations, giving users flexibility for small touch-up work, standard finishing, or larger production spraying.
Compatible configurations include:
• Pressurized gravity feed cups: 3 oz, 8 oz, or 20 oz
• Pressure feed bottom cups: 8 oz or 1 qt
• 3M PPS H/O pressure cup system: 13.5 oz or 28 oz, top or bottom feed
• Production pressure pots: 2 quart / 2 liter or larger
The spray gun is ready for use with compatible pressure pots or cup accessories using a 3/8" / 10 mm fluid coupler.
Air Requirements
Required spray gun air pressure and volume when using an air compressor versus a turbine:
• 23 PSI (Maximum pressure when running off an air compressor)
• 7 to 11 CFM (Minimum CFM when running off an air compressor)

For older turbine systems, the A7538A External Air Relief Valve is required when using the A7700 Series non-bleed HVLP spray gun.
